Will the mind of God ever change?
In James 1:17b it says: "Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" and in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." According to these two scriptures Not only will the mind of God never change but nothing about Him will ever change. God is the same today as He was one hundred billion years ago and beyond and one hundred billion years from today and beyond He will be the same. He nor His mind will ever change and cannot be persuaded to change. He is already Omni – everything, all knowledge, Holy, present, and so on. He will not change with time nor will time change Him.
Since the Bible is the word of God, it also will not change. The Bible was inspired by God to the ones that penned it 2nd Timothy 3:16. Therefore the words will never change. It will remain just as it is for eternity. It has come to my attention that there is a new version coming out soon. They say it will be more up – to – date, by this they mean it has been changed to fit the liberal and socialist world we live in today. No thank you, I have the Holy Script in the King James Version. There is not another version.
Prayer will not and was not intended to change God’s mind or way of thinking. Prayer is our way of talking to the Lord. The Lord is not going to move at our command or request, but at His own will and pleasure Ephesians 1:11. The Holy Script says that God knows what you have need of before you ever ask Matt. 6:8 and He answers our prayers according to His own will 1st John 5:14.
The bottom line is, God cannot in any form change or be changed. He is an eternal God and possesses eternal knowledge. Although for us times have changed things but for God they will always remain just as they always have been.
